Hakim Optical - Very unhappy customer after 35yrs
Was contacted by regional manager that said he was going to discuss with this most rude employee and have a follow up that never was followed up with me. I have found a new supplier for my glasses including all my friends and family and anyone else I can convince that Hakim is not the place to go.
As the issue with my lenses was never resolved or even attempted to be resolved.
I am still unhappy and will never return to this company. Ron Armstrong still pissed
I would like to start by saying that I have been a faithful customer for over 35yrs and have never had such a bad experience as I had yesterday anywhere ever. This is the facts I purchased a set of glasses approximately 3yrs ago and from the beginning I had issues with the way one of the lenses was set as it would keep popping out of the setting.
I returned to the store (Hakim in Cobourg) and each time I would deal with Mike Hogan the customer service rep at that location, the second time I went he was just coming off a lunch break and I explained to him the constant issue with the lens and he was extremely rude at that time saying this was not the stores problem and would try and fix the issue anyway, he did reset the lens and apologised at that time for his attitude saying he was over worked. I again returned a few months later the lens was still not stable and Mike decided to try to glue the lens into the frames. This did keep the lens in place but recently the coating on my lens have gone extremely foggy, not that I am saying this was the glue but I am saying I have not been in contact with any other chemicals. When I took the glasses back this Monday Mike said they would try to remove the coating, upon picking the glasses back up the removal of the coating was unsuccessful and Mike accused me of doing something to the lens or being in contact that would have caused this, I told him this was not the case and he literally called me a liar this started a heated argument when he verbally had some very nasty profanities to say to me.
This caused us both to have a heated and not so pleasant conversation, I then advised him that I would be contacting head office and again his excuse was that he was overwork and should not be left in the store to handle everything by himself, as I told him this is not the customers issue and he should not be taking his disgruntled attitude out on the customer. I am very unhappy and would like to have someone look at the lenses to see if this is a resolvable issue or should I just move on and find another supplier that treats the customer as the valued commodity that they are?
Reason of review: Bad quality.
Hakim Optical Cons: Recent experience, Terrible customer service, Rude emotionless employees, Defective lenses they supplied, People and the service.
